Favorite fall cocktail – The Apple Cake!

Your search for the perfectly light and tasty cocktail ends here. This apple cake cocktail is everything you need in your glass while you sit around the campfire or relax on a hot summer day. This easy cocktail only needs two simple ingredients and one of them is apple juice! It does not get much easier than this!

This is a staple cocktail among my Polish family and in fact it was our signature cocktail at our wedding back in 2008! It is delicious and I am always happy to share this easy recipe with friends.

First thing first…the ingredients.

You will need apple juice and Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka. You can find Zubrowka at most liquor stores, but if not then you can try a few spots online as well.

Zubrowka Vodka is a flavored Polish vodka that contains a blade of grass from the the Białowieża Forest, which is located along the border of Belarus and Poland. The forest is still home to hundereds of Bison and the legend I was always told was that the Bison peed on the blade of grass and that is what gives Zubrowka Vodka it’s color…yes I know…I am surrounded by comedians. Either way….it is darn delicious so I just roll with it!

Ah the country of Poland…

I have a special love for this country. My husband’s family is from the southern part of Poland and we were lucky enough to go there on our honeymoon in 2008…and we later brought our three kids on a trip for a family wedding in 2017. If Poland is not on your travel list then it should be. It was my absolute favorite vacations ever!
